The sale of raw milk has been strictly prohibited in Canada under the Food and Drug Regulations since 1991.
Canada’s raw milk ban is nationwide, therefore no one living in any province of Canada can sell raw milk legally. Thereby raw milk sales for human consumption have been forced underground by the Canadian government.
In contrast, the U.S. federal law bans raw milk from interstate commerce while leaving each state to determine their own internal laws. Laws in each state range from legally permitted retail sales to outright bans.

Here’s the moment we have all been waiting for – the Constitutional challenge on our right to choose raw milk will be heard next week, NOVEMBER 16-20. Yes, that’s right, 5 whole days – it is a big case, with a lot of expert evidence.
Court is in session 10am-4pm each day, but luckily it’s convenient to attend, as the proceedings will be via Zoom or something similar. We hope to have a large turnout of supporters to witness the proceedings online.
