RAWMI Farms Map | Raw Milk Institute Listed Producers
This interactive map showcases farms and producers worldwide that have earned RAWMI Listed status through the Raw Milk Institute, the leading organization designing safe raw milk production standards.
What is RAWMI Listed?
RAWMI Listed farms have demonstrated their commitment to producing low-risk raw milk by adhering to internationally recognized Common Standards for raw milk safety. These producers go beyond basic requirements, implementing comprehensive food safety protocols and transparent testing practices.
RAWMI's Mission and Purpose
The Raw Milk Institute was founded to improve the safety and quality of raw milk through farmer training, consumer education, and establishing science-based production guidelines. Their vision is to build a healthier world where raw milk is safe, embraced, and accessible — empowering dairy farmers and consumers "from grass to glass and soil to soul."
The RAWMI Common Standards
Developed by an international collaborative group of medical doctors, epidemiologists, food safety scientists, veterinarians, and raw milk producers, the Common Standards represent a three-pronged approach to raw milk safety:
- Farmer Training and Mentoring: Ongoing education in biosecurity, animal health, microbiology, and best practices
- Risk Analysis and Management Plan (RAMP): A comprehensive, farm-specific food safety program addressing unique conditions and potential risks
- Rigorous Testing Standards: Monthly testing for coliform bacteria (target: <10 per ml) and Standard Plate Count (target: <5,000 per ml), with pathogen testing protocols
What RAWMI Listed Farms Commit To:
- Implementing a comprehensive RAMP food safety plan
- At least monthly bacterial testing with transparent reporting
- Ensuring herds are tuberculosis and brucellosis free
- Producing raw milk specifically intended for direct human consumption
- No commingling of milk from other dairies
- Continuous improvement and adherence to evolving best practices
Why Choose RAWMI Listed Producers?
RAWMI Listed farmers have demonstrated transparency, commitment to safety protocols, and dedication to producing low-risk raw milk. While our database includes many quality producers at various stages of their food safety journey, RAWMI Listed farms have achieved third-party recognition for meeting internationally recognized standards in raw milk production.
These standards dramatically reduce risk when followed diligently, though as RAWMI notes, no food is perfectly safe — whether raw or pasteurized. The Common Standards serve as a foundation for continuous learning and improvement in raw milk safety.
