Florida Notice 29655730 seeks to ban cleaned, dressed poultry unless the meat goes through an approved processing plant.
So-called small government, so called deregulation, so on and so forth.

FLORIDA SMALL FARMER ALERT
Read This Before You Buy or Sell Local Eggs & Chicken Again
Florida just proposed a rule (Notice 29655730) that could seriously harm small farmers—and most people don’t even know it’s happening. The rule is being marketed as support for “limited poultry and egg operations”… but here’s what it’s actually doing:
It allows small farmers to sell poultry only if the bird has the head, feet, and guts still attached.
It bans cleaned, dressed poultry unless you go through industrial processing.
It requires new water testing, paperwork, and permits just to stay legal.
Let’s be honest:
Nobody is going to buy a chicken like that from a local farm. And the government knows it.
This doesn’t reduce red tape—it shifts the burden from the state to the farmer.
It makes it look like they’re supporting small producers, but they’re actually sabotaging their sales.
And that means fewer people will survive as small farmers.
It’s not just more work for farmers—it’s more work for ~us~ as the buyer, too.
Are you ready to cut off heads & feet just to eat?
Florida is already seeing a shrinking number of small farms.
This rule will only accelerate that.

Food sovereignty matters. Our farmers matter.
This rule doesn’t protect us—it protects the systems that already control our food.
