Raw milk sales legalized in Delaware

Direct-to-consumer sales of raw milk are now legal in the state of Delaware. SB 273 comes into effect next year, giving the Delaware Department of Agriculture time to compose a regulatory framework for raw milk sales in the state.

The bill passed the vote with bipartisan support in the house and senate, and was signed by Governor Carney on September 26, 2024.

This journey began over a decade ago by the late Representative Bobby Outten and I am thrilled to see this expansion of food choice become law.
