The latest update to the raw milk map is rich text descriptions. This allows us to display more information with better structuring for easy reading.
Example:
Originally, the description section of your raw milk listings were written in plain text, or without line-breaks and bold/italic text.
Now, with rich text:
Update your raw milk listing, if necessary
Farm listings, retailers, pickup and delivery locations all can be updated using the suggestion feature.
Navigate to your farm using the raw milk search or global raw milk map, visit your listing’s dedicated page and press the Update/ Add information button. Fill out the update form, press send and your info will be submitted for updates.
When editing the description, highlight the text you’d like to enrich with formatting and you’ll see options. You can select a few options…
- Bold – increases the character thickness
- Italic – adds a slant for emphasis
- Link – add a link to your text selection
- H2 – make the line a text header
- Block quote – make the line an encircled quote
We can use more formatting options by copy-pasting from other rich text editors like Pages or Word. Do not use text colors or highlight colors, as this prevents the website from making the text visible in dark mode or light mode.
Rich text is also used in the submission form to add a new raw milk listing.
