We are a 3rd generation family owned-and-operated dairy farm. We have always drank our own raw milk and shared with friends. We are now setting up shop to provide quality raw milk to the public. We have free range chickens for eggs. We raise our own meat and have started raising hogs as well. In the spring, we raise broilers and turkeys for meat. We also grow a large garden for produce every year. We process our own meat start (home raised) to finish (in the freezer). We do also sell hogs raised from weaning, until ready for processing, and anything in between.

Nick and Annie Schmitz maintain a herd of Jersey-cross cows that are genetically tested A2/A2 protein producers. The cows are machine milked into bucket milkers in a parlor. Milk is then filtered before being chilled in a bulk tank. Milk is never sold more than three days old. Cows are 100 percent forage-fed and DO NOT receive grain. Feed rations consist of pasture grass, grass hay, alfalfa, and/or haylage depending on the season. Cows have access to free choice minerals. We are a micro dairy family farm in West central Minnesota. We offer raw cow milk, heavy cream and herdshares that allows us to make butter for you. Our Jersey/JerseyX cows are 100% grassfed. We are USDA certified master grazers. Our cows graze 60+acres of permanent pastures during the grazing season. They are fed alfalfa and grass hay during the winter months. Cows are all natural. We do not use vaccines or antibiotics in the milking herd. Homeopathy and natural treatments are used to create a healthy immune system in our herd. Minnesota requires on farm pick up of dairy products and you must bring your own containers.

Cottonwood Hill Farms is a project of Cottonwood Hill Ministry. We are a small raw milk grass fed dairy.
