Rather cheeky and impotent attack on raw milk appeared in my Google News notifications. View the Instagram post.
Biology teacher makes smug face, surprised nobody cares. Raw milk continues to rise.
The smug impotence on display is lib-coded. It’s worth mentioning that raw milk is mostly legal in Democratically-held states, California is one of the best places to be a raw milk consumer, while most of the states catching up with legalization efforts are Republican-held. The Republican representatives legalizing raw milk are largely up against other Republicans who represent the intrastate, big agricultural interests. When I see liberals trashing raw milk, my first and often only thought before carrying on is “wow, this moron is carrying water for Republican regional monopolists, they must have a fetish for losing elections and their rights.”
From OpenSecrets: Farm Bureaus Summary
This sort of air-headed circling of the wagons and mantra-ing affirmations to each other, despite becoming increasingly anti-popular outside said circles, might be the thing that allows obstructionists to completely destroy this country. If you lost any rights in the past decade, it’s not because “oh cruel world oh the humanity,” it’s because soft and deluded millennials smugly shut out any speech that challenged their comfort or intellect – just to be surprised their opinions weren’t actually popular at the ballot box.
Fortunately, smarter libs have figured this out. It’s only a question of how long it will take to press this refocusing down to the less operative libs who stink up the party’s image. After living through the past decade, I think they should use any means necessary. Slash and burn like your life depends on it, because it does.
Public health institutions are currently being destroyed because the dorks tasked with guiding and defending these institutions have been telling themselves that they’re winning the argument, when they are obviously not, on a variety of subjects for the past 15 years.
Raw milk is one of these issues. There is nothing to gain and millions of voters to lose by targeting direct-to-consumer raw milk, which is less risky than leafy greens per capita.
Will they snap out of their shrinking safe spaces (echochambers) or do these institutions simply have to be destroyed and rebuilt after some mass tragedy reignites the demand for public health and more serious people take the initiative, time will tell.
