Starr Mountain Farmstead is a small family farm in Etowah, Tennessee, offering fresh raw A2/A2 Jersey milk through our herd share program.
Our Jersey cows are grass-fed and raised on pasture, moving regularly through rotational grazing as part of our regenerative farming practices. During milking, they receive a small amount of organic alfalfa pellets and black oil sunflower seeds. We do not use herbicides or pesticides on our land, and we avoid pharmaceuticals unless they are absolutely necessary for the life of an animal.
Our milk is whole and unprocessed, with the cream left on, just as it comes from the cow. We milk twice daily and work closely with our herd share families to provide fresh milk on a regular weekly pickup schedule.
We believe people should know where their food comes from and how the animals producing it are raised. We are happy to answer questions, show you around the farm, and introduce you to the cows.
In addition to our raw milk herd shares, Starr Mountain Farmstead seasonally offers forest-raised pork shares and fresh eggs from our pasture-raised hens.
