About this raw milk source
This is a cheese shop run by Fromagerie Beillevaire, a family cheesemaker and dairy from Machecoul (Loire-Atlantique) that collects its milk from farms close to its workshops (at Machecoul, its producers are all within 10 km) and works much of it raw. Alongside its raw-milk cheeses, Beillevaire sells its own bottled milk, raw cream ("crème crue") and raw butter churned in wooden barrel churns ("beurre cru à la baratte"). Ask at the counter for the raw milk, as stock varies by day. Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 9am to 7:30pm, Sunday 9am to 12:30pm. Beillevaire's points of sale page has current hours for every shop and market.
