Utah Farm Bureau President slaps migrant worker for complaining about late pay

Update 9/20/2024: Assault charges were dropped and refiled in Weber County. No word on human trafficking or bad landlord charges.

Update 8/16/2023: Ron Gibson resigned from the Utah Farm Bureau.

Utah Farm Bureau’s sitting President owns a farm that milks 1500 cows in Weber County, Utah. Despite the massive size of his herd, he somehow has a problem paying his employees.

Some of those employees happen to be undocumented migrant workers who he has shacked up (human trafficking) in an old desert home with a full septic tank (bad landlord).

On August 11, 2024, 13 of them complained that their wages were late by four weeks. He ended up backhanding one of them on candid camera.
