In an alternate reality, a more preferable one, RFK Jr would’ve been appointed to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. He’d be cleaning up the air and rivers, removing the microplastics from our lungs and stomachs before they deposit in our family jewels.
Reversing environmental protections
There are all sorts of good things that Secretary Kennedy has a track record of doing, which we know our imperial government could be doing, and which Biden was doing. Instead, RFK Jr was appointed to HHS and Lee Zeldin was appointed to lead the EPA.
Since the beginning of this administration, the progress made on these fronts has been reversed in their infancy. One of Administrator Zeldin’s first orders of business appears to have been the prolonging any action to protect our balls from those aforementioned microplastics.
Internal calls for change
At a certain point, it becomes untenable for crunchy cons to mantra “give it time and have faith” (ie “two weeks to stop the spread and slow the inevitable baby boomer collapse at the cost of young people”) when these new policies are moving in the opposite direction. This has caused an array of big MAHA influencers to call for Lee Zeldin’s removal from the EPA. View the petition on Change.org:

UPDATED: We were welcomed to a meeting with Administrator Zeldin and many in the EPA team to establish better communication. We shared what our expectations are for better regulation of carcinogenic and endocrine disrupting chemicals, and stressed that those regulations must be free from the hands of corporate capture. We will continue to update here as we see marked changes.
