About this raw milk source
Kinsarvik Harstad carries dairy from Jerseymeieriet, a small family dairy at Herikstad Gaard near Bryne that makes everything from its own grass-fed Jersey cows (100% A2A2 milk).
The raw product to ask for is Upasteurisert Kulturmjølk, Jerseymeieriet's unpasteurized cultured whole milk (about 6% fat). It is whole Jersey milk soured with lactic acid cultures: mild, pourable, and good for drinking or cooking. Their other products, including the bottled milk, cream and butter, are low-temperature pasteurized.
Some stores keep the cultured milk on the shelf, and others bring it in by order. If you don't see it, ask the staff to order it from Jerseymeieriet for you. You can also buy direct at the self-serve farm shop, Herigstadvegen 110, Bryne.
