About this raw milk source
This store stocks dairy from Koivulan Maito & Juusto, a family dairy farm in Muhos, near Oulu, run by Joni and Jenna Pitkänen. Their milk comes from about 70 cows on the home farm.
The raw product to look for is Koivulan Tilan maito, a 1 L carton of unpasteurized, unhomogenized whole milk (about 4.3% fat) in the refrigerated dairy case. The carton reads "Tilan maito" and "Suoraan maatilalta" on the front.
Koivula's range varies by store, so if you don't see Tilan maito, ask the staff to order it in from Koivulan Maito & Juusto. You can also buy direct at the farm shop, Pyhänsivuntie 679, Muhos.
