We are a family run raw milk dairy near Elbert, Colorado. We run registered A2/A2 Jersey cows who are fed Orchard hay and organic grain. We pride ourselves on strict sanitary practices and test our milk on a routine basis for its purity.

This is one of our 5 Fridge locations where members go weekly to receive their share. Our Ranch is located 35min out of town so these locations offer convivence, however members are always welcome to pick up at the dairy.

A raw milk microdairy + regenerative farm. We offer herdshares for fresh, tested, farm-bottled milk. Coming soon: small-scale fiber processing, done with care.

Five Freedoms Dairy was founded by veterinarian Kevin McSweeney with the goal of creating a small but sustainable dairy focused on providing cows with a healthier and more enriched life.

The centerpiece of this enrichment is Five Freedoms’ system of leaving the cows with calves after they are born, an uncommon practice here in the US. In fact, Five Freedoms’ mothers are allowed to care for and nurse their young for at least five months after birth. Additionally, our cows live outside with access to pasture, shade and soft bedding.

Simply put, the cows are treated like the intelligent, gentle creatures they are, animals that so nobly share their milk with us.

BECAUSE OF OUR METHODS

Our cows typically live twice as long as the industry average. Our cows have significantly less hoof and leg issue than animals confined to concrete. Calves stay with their mothers for months instead instead of the standard practice of separation after birth. We hope to create a model where the small dairy can thrive.

We have two goats and a limited herdshare for our nubian and alpine x lamancha girls. They are 100% organically fed and holistically raised/maintained on a farm that is striving for regeneration and sustainability. 

The WY fresh farmstand features local food not only grown on our farm, but food produced from other local farms and ranches.

We have free-range (in late Spring to Fall) organic goat milk from a beautiful, large-acreage location.

We’re a small farm in Morrill, Nebraska, raising Nigerian Dwarf and Lamancha dairy goats. We offer raw goat milk, creamy cajeta, yogurt, and frozen goyo. We also make goat milk soaps, lotions, and a variety of nourishing tallow products.
